"Something to Believe in"
What does that mean to you? What did it mean to Stevi when she chose the title of the album or wrote the song?

"Good question" Stevi Leigh responded. My whole life I was searching for something to believe in or someone to believe in me for the right reasons. This album was a god sent for me. Since I was 9 years old the "music industry" was filled with dissapointment, let downs and uncomfortable situations to say the least, all making music not so fun for me. It turned out to be only God in the end when I was faced down at the crossroad and only then was I able to see how far the road I had survived and overcome. Just when I was about to change my course a divine appointment was scheduled. Whitney Ullman of Win Promotions and Cunsulting intruduced me with much enthusiam to Grammy Award winning Record Producer Roy Hamilton & Grammy Nominee Record Producer Raphael Hamilton. We bagan our music journey in Hollywood as the story would have it and shared a similar passion. Raphael and I developed a vision and began to carry it out starting with the production of "Shot of Love" in July of 2012. As months went on we continued the production of the album cross country all the way to New Jersey, Las Vegas, Arizona and back again. When it came down to naming the album it was almost titled "White Paper" from one of the songs on the album. My message behind it was that no matter what you write down or what you did in life we are gifted the grace to begin again like that of fresh white paper. As I listened on through the album I couldn't get "Something to Believe in" out of my head. It was the very cause of my being, it was my life story and my mission. The song itself portrays how I feel on stage right before a big break performance, when I can really say "I've made it" and the crowd is roaring and in that moment I flash back to when i was a little girl and I am not sure if I am still dreaming. The chorus hits and I get to tell my story. The lyrics are as follows: "Spending all my time working overtime trying to give it back to them, Something to Believe in, It's going to take a miracle." As the song moves on it' s the working example and living proof that if you believe and keep your eyes set upon your vision with faith and love through all obstacles you will live out your dreams you will meet your goals. No matter how dark the night gets there is always Something to Believe In.
